If you don't know, now you know

Can I visit your farm?

At this time we do not offer any tours of our farm. Simply because we are kept busy with the growing side of things. You can visit Our Farm Shop on the property but this is the only area that is open to the public.

Where does your produce come from?

Everything you see in our boxes is grown on our family farm in Clevedon, Auckland, New Zealand.

When was the produce picked for the boxes?

We pick to order. Every Monday we compile the orders and plan the harvest for the next morning. We take the field heat out of the produce in our chiller overnight before boxing and dispatching on Wednesday morning. We have found this is to be the best way to ensure the herbs and produce stay fresh on their journey to you.

Are you organic?

We are not organic certified by any organisations, but we have committed to only using organic sprays on all our produce and seedlings.

Is there any plastic packaging in your boxes?

We are constantly researching different packaging products that are environmentally friendly. We are committed to using the least amount of packaging as possible but for certain produce we need to use something. We currently using recyclable bags for the salads, spinach, rocket and microgreens.

What is the best way to store my produce?

Once receiving your box, we recommend that you give all the produce a rinse. Then pat dry and store in produce bags or your own containers in the fridge. Tomatoes and butternut squash are best kept out of the fridge.

Who works on your farm?

There’s us (Phil and Jenny) who own, run and work the farm. Amy, who is the tech guru. And then we employ locals to help us who are the backbone to our business. We do not offer any other schemes (i.e volunteers, woofers) as we like our staff to earn an honest wage. And the rest of family gets roped in to help out every now and then too!

Do you have any jobs available?

We employ as and when we need the extra help. This is usually in the spring and summer as we gear up for the season. We offer part time or full time, casual or permanent. You would need to be available on certain days and at certain times. No experience is needed but you must show initiative and work as a team player as well as having a positive attitude towards your work. You would also need to be reasonably fit as there is heavy lifting and you will be on your feet all day.

Email us if you’re interested and we will add you to our waiting list info@clevedonherbsproduce.co.nz

What weekend markets do you attend?

Unfortunately, we no longer attending any weekend markets.

How can I contact you?

Email is the best form of contact and we will reply as soon as we can. Or you can send us a message through our Facebook or Instagram page. At this stage we do not have a contact phone number. This is simply because we are kept busy on the farm growing the herbs and produce.
